The Yarmouth Junior A Mariners continue a four game stretch away from home this weekend.
Tonight, Yarmouth visits the Valley Wildcats and tomorrow night the Mariners make their way to Bridgewater to face South Shore.
Yarmouth won both games in New Brunswick last weekend over Woodstock and St. Stephen.
Head Coach and General Manager Laurie Barron says he was happy with four of those six periods.
“I didn’t like our first period against Woodstock and I didn’t like our second period against St. Stephen. But four points in New Brunswick is always tough.”
The Mariners and Lumberjacks are tied for first overall in the MHL standings, Yarmouth has a 12-2 record.
Barron says they aren’t looking past tonight’s game in Berwick.
“Valley is a team you can’t take lightly. They have great goaltending and with forwards like (Makail) Parker, you have to have your ‘A’ game, Then tomorrow night, we’ll be jumping right into the fire in South Shore. They’ve been very tough lately.”
The Mariners have won five in a row.
Their next home game will be next Friday night against the Lumberjacks.
