The ‘best of the best’ in Yarmouth business were recognized tonight at the Rodd Grand Hotel.
The Yarmouth and Area Chamber of Commerce handed out their 2017 Business Awards.
Jake’s Family Restaurant won the coveted ‘Customer Service of the Year’ award.
Owner Joe Habib says the people of Yarmouth are very dear to him.
“We couldn’t do it without them obviously. It goes further than that for us, it’s all about community. We have the best people in the world here, I say it all the time.”
Others winners included McDonalds Yarmouth for Large Business of the Year, Honey Bee Ice Cream Parlour for Small Business of the Year, Samantha Comeau of Yarmouth Cleaning Ladies for Employee of the Year and Jennifer White of White Perkins Assoc. for Boss of the Year.
Todd Shea of McDonalds Yarmouth says his staff deserves recognition for their hard work during renovations earlier this year.
“We’re very fortunate to have an unbelievably strong team here. They’ve been fantastic going through a ton of adversity and change over the last couple of years. I want to give a big shout-out to my team, they’ve done great work.”
Over 100 individuals and businesses were nominated.
