The Tri-County Women’s Centre is reaching out to Aboriginal women and asking them to tell their stories.
A project called ‘Righting Relations’ will enable the centre to engage with Indigenous women across the Maritimes to document their culture, traditions and language.
Bernadette MacDonald, executive director of the Tri-County Women’s Centre, says a video will be produced.
“That video will then be used as a teaching tool so that people will further understand Indigenous culture. We’re very excited to be working with these amazing women from across Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and PEI.”
The centre received $37,300 in federal funding recently as part of Canada 150 celebrations
