It takes place this Friday, Saturday and Sunday on the waterfront.
Last year, the first time it was held in Yarmouth, over 16 thousand people attended.
He says 20,000 pounds of ribs, 6,000 pounds of chicken and 3,000 pounds of brisket were eaten along with about 2000 blooming onions.
Ribfest spokesman Keith Condon says it will be at the same location this year, on the Marginal Wharf.
“It will be rearranged a little bit. We learned from last year so we’re going to try more accommodating so everything functions better.”
Condon says the same ribbers will be coming back this year including Bibbs BBQ, Billy Bones BBQ, Camp 31, Crabby’s BBQ Shack and Texas Rangers.
“They have a contest on Sunday. We’ll have ballots available at all of the sales locations for the best ribber, people choice and so on. We make those decisions, taste testing, count the ballots and make presentations on Sunday afternoon.”
He says there will be more portable toilets, washing stations and garbage control.
There will be shuttle services from several locations including hotels and handicapped parking places will also be made available.
Ribfest hours will be 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
