The CEO of the Western Regional Enterprise Network says cooperation among its members is strong.
Nova Scotia’s five Regional Enterprise Networks are hunkered down in Truro for a strategic roundtable.
Angélique LeBlanc says today’s meeting is the first time that all employees of the REN’s across the province have come together to discuss common issues.
“We all have the Business Now Program. We also are all working on investment readiness and we’re working right now on a provincial web site which will essentially be a stream lined portal into rural economic development.”
She says the Western REN has grown and regional cooperation is working very well.
“In the Western region we have an extremely strong REN. Newly on board is Barrington as of April 1st, so our REN is actually growing in size which is extremely good news.”
LeBlanc says they are working on a provincial web site which will be a streamlined portal into rural economic development.
The five Regional Enterprise Networks in the province are comprised of Western, Valley, South Shore, Cape Breton and Eastern Strait.
The Western REN encompasses the municipal units of Yarmouth and Digby Counties and the Municipality of Barrington.
