The ace continues to be chased in support of the River Hills Sport and Recreation Society.
The card is now one of nine left after Saturday night’s draw.
Judy Parnell of Liverpool was the consolation prize winner after picking the 10 of clubs and took home $24,238.
Fundraising chair, Lisa O’Connell, says money raised will support junior development at the golf course in Clyde River.
“We encourage young people to come out and enjoy our facility. The juniors are the future of our golf course. We offer a discounted rate for junior membership.”
The estimated pot has grown to roughly $287,000.
The contest started last June but there were delays due to snowstorms and the start of lobster season.
O’Connell says it has been exciting for the community.
“We feel it has given the community an opportunity to socialize. It also gives everyone an opportunity to keep the money in our communities because it’s a local fundraiser.”
The next draw is July 8.
