Cannabis users can reduce health risks after a panel of medical and public health organizations released 10 recommendations.
The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health led the development of the guidelines, which start by saying abstinence is the best way to avoid health complications.
Other suggestions include choosing lower risk cannabis products, like edibles, as opposed to smoking.
If you do choose to smoke, you should not inhale as deeply, or hold your breath for extended periods of time.
These guidelines are intended to inform the public about safer use of cannabis, thereby mitigating those health risks.
