Only two weeks ago, a section of Main Street in downtown Yarmouth was re-opened with bumpouts and new asphalt.
Now we learn a section will have to be resurfaced because it’s not up to standards.
Mayor Pam Mood says the work will begin as soon as possible.
“Just a little bit of the section of paving work at the intersection of Brown and Main Street didn’t quite meet the standards. Just a little bit of resurfacing there and we’ll be good to go.”
Mood says rough areas were discovered following an inspection.
She says it’s best to get the job done right.
The street was closed for two full months due to work on the bumpouts and the sewer separation project.
