Frost Park will be culturally spruced up this summer.
The town is calling for musicians, actors, artists and dancers to be part of ‘Music and Arts in the Park’ beginning Wednesday.
Councillor Wade Cleveland and Economic Development Officer Natalie Smith are spearheading the campaign.
Cleveland says they are looking for volunteers on Tuesdays and Wednesdays this summer.
“Busking is encouraged. We can book you in, and you can let your imagination run wild with whatever you want to do. We’ll set this up and see how it goes. We’re trying to create a vitality downtown. This is an early and inexpensive way to get things going. If it goes well, perhaps we’ll expand the program to next year.”
Participants would be doing so on a volunteer basis, but musicians would be allowed to sell their CD’s.
