Yarmouth Town RCMP say they’re receiving a number of calls on two issues lately.
Constable Terry Burridge says around 50 phone calls have come in over the last two days about a phone scam.
The caller claims to be from the Canada Revenue Agency, and warns of consequences if payment is not made.
Cst. Burridge advises when this happens, never give out personal information and hang up immediately.
He says there is also still a problem with thefts of goods from unlocked vehicles around town.
Cst. Burridge reminds residents to lock their vehicles at all times and to not leave valuables inside.
