Work on a section of Highway 101 is expected to take about another three weeks.
Construction crews have been working on the highway from the Town of Yarmouth to Exit 34 at Hebron, with traffic down to one lane.
Department of Transportation spokesperson Brian Taylor says re-paving and safety improvements are being completed.
“They’ll be re-paving, but they’ll also put rumble strips along the centre-line and the white-lines. They’ll be putting in reflective markers intermittently on the centre-line.”
Taylor says new guard-rails will also be installed on several sections.
He urges motorists to use caution.
“We ask motorists to take care in those construction zones, so everyone can be safe during construction season.”
He says the work should be done by July 13th, weather permitting.
Traffic control people are on site, and work takes place from sunrise to sunset.
