Short led the Mariners in goals last season with 24, and had five goals in five playoff games.
Snow scored 13 times in 45 games last season and Butt played the first half of the season.
The Mariners also gave up a prospect and their first round draft pick in the trade.
The Lumberjacks also made another splash sending Frederic Beauchesne-Dubuc, a 3rd round pick this year and future considerations to Edmundston for defenceman Alex Saunders.
Yarmouth also announced they have acquired the rights to forward Ilya Putintsev from the Valley Wildcats. Putintsev is a former Halifax Moosehead.
