A Yarmouth man is facing 34 charges after a heavy police presence on Tinkham Road Friday.
41 year old David Lloyd Gordon Benjamin was arrested and remains in custody.
According to court documents, most of the charges are related to unlawfully possessing firearms.
Benjamin is also facing counts related to assault, sexual assault, unlawful confinement and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
The documents say most of the alleged offences were committed on or about May 12 near Brooklyn, Yarmouth County.
Benjamin will be back in court on Thursday for a show-cause hearing.
RCMP have not released many details, saying the incident involved domestic violence.
Police blocked access to Tinkham Road on Friday.
Homeowners were asked to secure their properties while the investigation continued.
