Yarmouth’s mayor says there have been a few complaints in regards to a major project on Main Street in the heart of the downtown.
The work involves sewer separation and the installation of bump-outs.
Getting around that section of the downtown is difficult but Pam Mood says people are making due.
“We’ve got the Brown Street parking lot, there’s the side streets. It is very much easily accessible.”
The street was closed on March 22.
Mayor Mood says it’s a short time.
“We’re looking at the first of June for completion. I would venture a guess that business will actually increase when this is done.”
She says the town is trying to create a community space that people are drawn to that looks nice and feels nice.
