According to a news release, at 7:20 this evening (Thursday May 11), Digby RCMP, EHS and the Fire Department responded to a single vehicle crash on Highway 217 in Rossway, Digby County.
RCMP say a vehicle had gone off the road and struck a tree.
Police say the female driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
RCMP say they are continuing to investigate the crash with the assistance of a collision re-constructionist.
Traffic flow on Highway 217 between Timpany Lane and Gullivers Cove Road is reduced to one lane at this time.
