A section of Main Street in Yarmouth has been closed since late March.
This is due to work on the sewer separation project, and the installation of bump-outs.
Asphalt should be going down at the end of this month.
The Salvation Army Thrift Store is located on the closed section.
Captain Mike Mailman says the work hasn’t affected donations.
“Maybe a little bit, but donations are still healthy. People are still finding us and people are still donating, which is great.”
Mailman appreciates the extra effort community members have made to donate to the Salvation Army.
He hopes residents keep donating through the work, as the Thrift Store is the only donation drop-off for the organization.
