The next provincial election is coming up on May 30.
In the riding of Argyle-Barrington, Progressive Conservative Chris d’Entremont has held the seat since 2003.
He talks about some of the issues facing his riding.
“We need better health care, a dialysis unit in Barrington, radiation oncology in Yarmouth, better long term care as well. We don’t have enough beds for seniors in need of them, and we need to focus in on that.”
d’Entremont says internet service is also of major importance.
Running against him is Liberal candidate Louis d’Entremont and the NDP’s Greg Foster.
Louis d’Entremont says a major re-fit or a new school for Wedgeport is one of his top priorities, and work on an interchange at the Pubnico exit.
“There seems to be a big need for either a major re-fit or a new school, and I know the residents of Wedgeport really want a new school.”
Foster says jobs and economic opportunities, like high speed internet access are of major importance, and the proposed minimum wage increase to $15 an hour.
