The Yarmouth Hospital Foundation held their 13th annual Spring Gala on Saturday night at Mariners Centre.
This years theme was ‘The Big Red Ball’ in honour of Canada 150.
$52,198 was raised at the sold out event.
The Foundation’s Mary Surette tells us how the funds will be used.
“We’re going to purchase 10 blood pressure monitors for the Yarmouth Hospital. The cost of the units were over $45,000. The foundation is committed to purchasing over $232,000 of equipment for the hospital this year.”
The rest of the money will go toward other critical equipment at the hospital.
Surette thanked the 60 plus volunteers who helped make the gala happen.
