A number of federal funding announcements for West Nova over the weekend.
Nearly $418,000 will go to 22 organizations focused on improving lives of seniors.
Some of the projects include the installation of a boardwalk and benches on the Wedgeport Nature Trail and repairs to legion branches in Wedgeport and Bear River.
West Nova MP Colin Fraser says the funding will help promote inclusion of seniors in each community.
“Each of these organizations does a great job to help seniors participate in active living. I’m pleased our government is able to support them.”
Fraser also announced nearly $11,000 to improve public access to archival material at the Argyle Municipality Historical and Genealogical Society.
