An announcement on the future of the Shelburne Collaborative Health Care Clinic yesterday.
Premier Stephen McNeil was in Shelburne with news that the tender for construction will go out today.
Work on the facility should begin in June in time for the opening in early fall 2018.

Also, two new doctors and two new nurses are coming to the area sometime over the next month.
The government says those registered on the Need a Family Practice list from the Shelburne and surrounding areas, like Lockeport, Barrington and Cape Sable Island, will now be able to access primary care from this team.
The Premier says this is a good day for Shelburne County.
“We announced nurse practitioners in January. This is a need in the community, and we continue to work with communities across the province. I’m very proud of the work that the Municipality of Shelburne and surrounding areas have done to make this happen.”
The new clinic will be made up of family physicians, nurse practitioners, a family practice nurse, and support staff.
McNeil says it’s the first time in 20 years that Shelburne’s health care complement will be ‘up to the top.’
The group will work at Roseway Hospital until the new clinic is ready.
