A popular park in Yarmouth County will be open five weeks longer this season.
Yarmouth MLA Zach Churchill says interest in provincial camping parks is growing steadily.
Churchill says Ellenwood Lake Provincial Camping Park will stay open until October 9.
“It will give visitors and campers another five weeks to enjoy that park. Hopefully we’ll see more tourists use the park, and of course the locals who enjoy it every year will have more time to enjoy it. We’ve got a beautiful resource at Ellenwood Park, particularly now with the Mood Road access point paved, it’s a nicer drive in. We’ve got some more work to do on the park and we’ll keep working on that.”
The province’s campsite reservation line opened yesterday.
The number is 1-888-544-3434.
Campsites also can be booked through the Nova Scotia Provincial Parks website.
