No changes in the residential and commercial tax rates in the Municipality of Shelburne.
Warden Penny Smith issued her budget address on Monday.
The residential and resource tax rate will remain at $1.26 per $100 of assessment while the commercial rate sits at $1.82.
The municipality is raising the septage disposal rate by .15 cents to 2.5 cents per litre while the sewer rate is increasing by five dollars to $265 due to rising operational costs.
Those changes take effect April 1.
Smith also highlighted seven priorities where funding is being budgeted.
It includes just over $102,000 for health care recuitment and retention, $70,000 in grants for community organizations and $410,000 to 10 fire departments.
The municipality has also set aside $250,000 to help design and cost out a new municipal building and is working with Bell and the Nova Scotia government to improve high speed internet.
There will be a break for those living with low incomes in the Municipality of the District of Shelburne.
Smith announced a low income tax exemption of $400 is available for those with household imcomes of less than $20,000.
Exemptions are also available for household incomes betwen $20,000 and $25,000.
The municipality has also budgeted more than $101,000 for property tax exemptions to community organizations and service clubs.
The municipality plans to actively market and pursue economic development opportunities for the Shelburne Marine Industrial Park.
