It seems some residents in Yarmouth County heeded the RCMP’s advice about keeping their vehicle doors locked.
Police say between the evening of Friday March 24 and the morning of Saturday March 25, a total of seven vehicle break-ins were reported in the Chebogue area.
Corporal Jennifer Clarke says the good news is that most of the vehicles were locked and were not entered, and in some cases, the unlocked vehicles did not have any valuables left in them.
“We would always ask people to lock their vehicle doors and definitely keep valuables out of sight or removed from the vehicle entirely.”
She says the only item stolen was some small change.
Clarke says many residents reported seeing the suspect’s footprints in the snow near their vehicles.
