The coordinator of the Handicapped Organization Promoting Equality says the success of its vehicle lottery shows how much the community supports the organization.
Tickets sold out on March 13, the Monday before the lottery.
Linda Vickery says they couldn’t provide the programs and support services for their clients if it weren’t for the public’s support.
“I can’t say enough about the support we get here at the HOPE centre. Even through the year, when we’re not having any events, people are coming in to see how we’re doing and donating things for the auction. The public and businesses have been fantastic to us.”
The winners of the 2017 Hyundai Elantra were Darla and Lyndon Landry, but they chose to take the $15,000 cash instead.
