Town council and members of the board of directors of the Yarmouth Arts Regional Council have another sit-down scheduled.
Th’Yarc sent out requests for proposals recently looking for properties suitable to build a new multi-million dollar arts centre.
Mitch Bonnar, president of the board, says discussion around possible locations will continue.
“I received a letter from the town requesting a meeting on March 29th. It included a discussion document on possible locations for a new arts and cultural centre in the town.”
Bonnar says the new centre should have been built 8 years ago.
“But that’s sort of gone by, so we’ll go with the immediate future.”
The town has maintained in the past that a new arts centre must be built in the downtown.
