Motorists are being advised to prepare for some snow then heavy rain and high winds today.
Coastal areas are likely to be affected the most with this latest weather system.
Don Houston with Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal in Yarmouth says their crews are ready.
“The boys have serviced the vehicles. We’ve been putting the direct liquid on the 100-series. We started that around midnight. On an average we’re looking at maybe 5 cms for Yarmouth and Shelburne Counties maybe 10 or for Digby. Then it will flip to rain. A lot of rain.”
Environment Canada has issued wind and rainfall warnings for the region.
