Wind and rainfall warnings continue for the Tri-Counties.
We’re expecting 30-40 millimetres of rain and possible winds gusts up to 100 kilometres an hour.
Driving conditions are expected to worsen until the system passes.
Snow has been falling this afternoon.
Bill Thurston with the Yarmouth Department of Transportation says salt trucks are out.
“We’re expecting about six centimetres of snow, and then around mid-evening it’s going to turn over to rain. It could get quite slushy and slippery out there, so motorists are asked to drive with caution.”
Forecast still calling for shifting weather conditions this evening & overnight. Take care & drive safe if you need to be on the road.

Conditions are expected to improve tomorrow.
Thurston says the department is also keeping an eye on the storm surge for coastal areas.
“We watch some of the beach areas out here. The moon has been full as well. We should get high course tides. We’ll watch them to see if it affects any roads.’
