Yarmouth’s mayor says the town should be proud to host an event in 2019 that will bring visitors from all over the world.
Yarmouth will host the Communities In Bloom Symposium from September 25 to 28, 2019.
Delegates are coming from Canada, the U-S, Europe and Asia and is expected to draw 250 to 350 attendees.
Mayor Pam Mood says CIB is more than just planting flowers and bushes.
“Communities in Bloom goes a whole lot deeper. They look at ecology, water systems and all those different pieces that make a community what it is. We’re excited over all the delegates that will come to our town.”
Mood says the symposium will bring the world to our doorstep.
She says Yarmouth is the smallest town to ever host the event.
