A unique business venture for a Yarmouth born man.
Brennan FitzGerald is about to launch his new SEA Change Clothing Company.
FitzGerald now lives in Alberta and works as a town Councillor in Morinville.
He says his love of the sea and his hometown inspired him to start the clothing line, and for every item sold, three pounds of trash will be cleaned from the ocean.
He says he’s heard from people all over the world.
“People are really interested in not only buying products, but helping us achieve this mission. People want to be involved in clean up events. I’m looking forward to being around home this summer and organizing some beach clean up events around Yarmouth.”
FitzGerald says clothing is a major contributor to ocean pollution.
“I wanted to create a brand that used only environmentally friendly fabrics in our clothing, and bring that commitment of removing three pounds of trash.”
A kick-starter campaign will begin later this month.
