The Wades Wire Traps/Five Star Roofing Bantam AA Mariners played their two final league games this weekend.
They won both games against the first place Acadia Axemen, securing second place overall in their division as they head into the League Championship Tournament.
Game 1, Saturday February 25 at Acadia
Final 4 to 2 for Yarmouth
Scoring for Yarmouth was Jay Deviller, Donovan Mullen, Brennan Smith and Andre d’Entremont.
Zach d’Arcy had 2 assists; Andre d’Entremont, Donovan Mullen, Jay Deviller, Hayden Young and Gavin O’Connell had one assist each.
Charlie Banks was in net and player of the game went to Charlie Banks
Game 2, Sunday, February 26 at Yarmouth
Final 6 to 3 for Yarmouth
Josh Greene and Hayden Young had 2 goals each. Jay Deviller and Zach d’Arcy each had one.
Zach d’Arcy and Zach Richardson had 2 assists each; Brennan Smith, Donovan Mullen, Denver d’Entremont, Josh Greene, Rylan d’Entremont and Ryan Warner had one assist each.
Liam Campbell was in net and player of the game went to Josh Greene.
Yarmouth will host the Bantam AA Mainland Tournament at the Mariners Center this coming weekend, March 3 to 5.

Captains Choice Trucking Bantam B Mariners played Acadia in the 2nd of 3 Provincial Playdown games at the Mariners Centre on February 25th.
5-1 Yarmouth
Scoring for Yarmouth was Luke d’Eon with a hat trick, Drew d’Entremont and Rylan d”Entremont each had 1. Assists went to Tristan d’Entremont and Zach Richardson each with 3 and Rylan d”Entremont had 1.
In nets was Liam Surette.
Yarmouth has defeated Acadia in the best of 3 Provincial playdowns and will now face West Hants in the next round.

This was a 1 game playoff so Yarmouth does not move on in the league playoffs.

The Atom AA Chris Scott Construction Mariners played their first game of the second round of the provincial playdowns, where they defeated the West Hants Warriors who were undefeated all year.
Yarmouth won 6-5, a total team effort.
Goals scorers were Jared Pitman with 5 goals and Blake Newell with 1 goal. Assists going to Sam Hope, Brady Saulnier with 2 Assists and Cameron Barnes with 1. Blake Fish realed in the win in the net with a great performance.
Yarmouth is back in the Valley Sunday for game #2.

The 2017 Starskate Provincials were held this weekend in Liverpool at the Queens Place Emera Centre.
The Yarmouth Skating club was represented by 20 skaters with Coach Megan Long.
Star 1: Mylan d’Entrement- Bronze, Josie Garron- Bronze, Isabella Gorst- Bronze, Addie Sears – Bronze, Camryn Vacon- Bronze, Brooklyn Spates- Silver and Narissa Muise- Silver.
Star 2: Kennedy Goodwin- Merit and Emma Hemeon- Bronze.
Star3: Kaidyn Goodwin, Zara Hemani, Jasmine LeFave and Lauren Lyons – Bronze . Jessica Zhu- Silver.
Star 4: Mackenzie Cook and Bailey Pitman – Silver.
Star 5: Allison Theriault- 6th Place and she qualifies to go to Atlantics in March.
Juvenile Ladies Under 14, Sharlie Pinksen -8th place.
