It was a night of competitive fun in Barrington Saturday.
Two ‘Local Legend’ hockey teams skated to a 5-5 draw at the first ever Hockey Day in Barrington.
The teams featured former Mariners Ryan Nickerson, Jordan Scott and Brendan Nickerson, also former college player Jared Ross, along with many former Ice Dogs and Sable Fish Packers.
Lunenburg West Liberal MLA Mark Furey was Captain of ‘Team East’ and says it was nice to come back to Barrington.
“And to engage the guys that I played with when I was with the Fish Packers, and to see the young guys that I coached against through minor hockey, it’s just been an incredible evening and it was wonderful to be a part of it.”
