The Yarmouth Junior A Mariners lost their third straight game on home ice, and second this weekend, 5-4 in overtime to the Miramichi Timberwolves tonight.
Yarmouth held a 4-2 lead heading into the third, but two quick goals by the Wolves tied it up.
Michael Constantine would score in the extra frame on a penalty shot as he was hauled down going to the net of Justin Ritcey.
Lawrence Lyver and Mike Snow led Yarmouth with a goal and an assist each.
The Mariners gained a point and moved back into a tie for second place in the Eastlink South Division with the Truro Bearcats.
Amherst’s 7-4 win in Woodstock tonight moved them four points behind the Mariners and Bearcats.
Yarmouth and Truro will face each other Wednesday night in Truro.
