High winds are causing drifting snow this morning and motorists are urged to drive with care.
The Darling’s Lake Road in Yarmouth County closed.
An 18-wheeler is jack-knifed in the road.
Don Houston of TIR says the drifts are causing road crews difficulty.
“We’re having a hard time keeping up. All three areas saying they’re just trying to keep the main drags open. We’re having a lot of abandoned vehicles”
Houston says crews will get caught up when the wind drops off later today.

Tri-County Regional School Board schools in Shelburne, Yarmouth and Digby counties are closed today.
Classes are cancelled for the CSAP in the Clare and Argyle regions.
NSCC Burridge and Shelburne campuses and the Digby worksite are closed today.
The Dalhousie School Of Nursing, Yarmouth will open at noon.
