No one was at home when fire broke out early this morning in Hebron.
The call came in around 1:40 am of a residence off Hwy 340 on Pent Lane.
Platoon Chief Lynn Seeley of the Yarmouth Fire Department says the weather certainly hampered their efforts.
“Upon arrival it was fully involved, it had vented through all openings. It was pretty well gone upon arrival”
Seeley also says there was a shortage of manpower because of the storm and some equipment froze due to the cold wind chill.
He says he has no idea what caused the fire.
Firefighters from Lake Vaughn, Port Maitland and Lakes and District also responded.
