Nova Scotia teachers have rejected the latest offer from the provincial government.
More than 78% of the 9,300 teachers represented voted against this latest deal, the third since negotiations began at the end of September 2015.
Union President Liette Doucet says teachers are frustrated and deserve more from the government.
She says this latest deal didn’t go far enough to improve classroom conditions.
Meanwhile, Education Minister Karen Casey says the outcome is disappointing.
She says the deal provided not only for wages but money to be invested directly into classrooms.
The Nova Scotia Teachers Union says they will continue their work-to-rule job action while government considers next moves.
