Building upgrades are coming for a community hall in Yarmouth County.
The Forest Glen Community Centre will get a new metal roof, two heat pumps, plumbing upgrades, a wheelchair ramp and landing, and vinyl siding on the north side of the building.
All levels of government are supporting the project, with the feds chipping in over $20,000, the province $12,000 and $3,000 each from the Municipalities of Clare and Yarmouth.
Over $5,000 was raised as well by those involved with the centre.
Other improvements include the removal of north-facing windows, energy efficient LED lighting, a drop ceiling on the main floor, a weather-tight exterior front door, toilets and safety rails and light weight tables and chairs.
The centre has been open since 1952, and hosts a variety of functions like meetings, socials and fundraisers.
