The Acadia First Nation is looking at economic development in Shelburne.
They purchased the old Oxbow Motel property in a tax sale.
Band councillor Darlene Coulton says the band council hasn’t met since the holidays to discuss the matter.
She says they don’t know yet what they will put up on the site but it will benefit everyone.
“The band council will meet tomorrow. We’re going to have some discussion with our economic development team and see exactly what we might have as a venture there that will benefit the band and the town of Shelburne.”
Coulton says there are over 100 members of the Acadia First Nation living in Shelburne.
