A one million dollar upgrade is coming for sports facilities at Universite Sainte-Anne in Clare.
The federal government announced $500,000 for the project today at the Church Point campus.
The school will match the funding.
President and Vice-Chancellor Allister Surette says this is a great community investment.
“The priority will be our weight and cardio room, but it will also include part of our pool and our tennis courts outside. It’s a great project, not only for students and staff but also the community.”
In a release from West Nova MP Colin Fraser, he says the upgrades will enhance the university and community’s ability to attract and retain students, residents and visitors, while increasing capacity to host social and sporting events, drawing new audiences to the region.
