The Provincial Volunteer Awards are on April 18th.
Just after that, the Yarmouth Volunteer Reception will take place.
Numerous volunteers from the town and municipality of Yarmouth will be recognized on April 25th at town hall.
Yarmouth Recreation oversees the event.
Director Frank Grant it’s easy to nominate someone.
“Send us an email, tell us a little bit about why they think that person is a great volunteer. We’re so fortunate that we have so many
really good volunteer organizations in the area.”
The annual ceremony at town hall honours those who donate their time to events and initiatives in the town and municipality.
Grant says entries are being taken until February 22nd.
“Once we get all those nominations in, our Yarmouth Recreation Committee goes through those nominations and does some scoring
and whoever scores the highest is picked as the volunteer representative of the year for the town or the municipality.”
