The Yarmouth Junior A Mariners bounced back nicely from an embarrassing home loss last night.
This evening at Mariners Centre, a hat-trick from Mateo Short and 27 saves from Justin Ritcey led the Mariners to a 5-0 win over the Campbellton Tigers.
Ritcey, acquired from Valley this week was solid in getting his first win with Yarmouth and first shutout of the season.
Former Yarmouth netminder Rowan O’Brien took the loss in goal.
The Mariners are now one point back of Pictou County for first in the league.
Paid attendance was over 1000 despite blizzard conditions.
