Environment Canada’s Winter Storm Warning remains in effect.
Strong northeasterly winds and blowing snow will develop by Sunday morning as the low intensifies.
The forecaster says snow will change through ice pellets or freezing rain to rain over eastern areas of the province by Sunday morning.
Snowfall amounts of 30 to 40 cm are expected over western and central Nova Scotia with 20 to 30 cm over eastern portions of the province.

Environment Canada says to consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.
Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow.
