YFD spokesman Stewart Deveau says
over 25 partipants raised approximately
$2300.00 for the Yarmouth Fire Department.
Deveau says he’ll let us know what the final tally is soon.
He says members of the YFD and it’s Auxiliary members wish to thank those who participated as well sponsor Boston Pizza and members of the public for their continued support.
Although there have been much colder New Year’s Days in the past, Alex Pitt, who has been taking part in the annual event for 10 years, says the temperature in Lake Milo was zero. Brrrrrrrr.
He says ” I think we might have some new participants next year. “
A couple of people watching the event expressed an interest in taking part next year.
