The O’Regan’s Subaru Western Hurricanes improved to 2-0 at the 2016 ESSO Cup in Halifax.
The major bantam hockey club defeated the Mid Isle Matrix 5-3.
Lawson Cook scored twice while Mason Beck, Ben Charles and Cole Spidle rounded out the scoring.
In their opening game, the Hurricanes edged the Joneljim Cougars 2-1.
Lawson Cook and Cameron Lohnes scored in that game.
The Hurricanes will try and remain undefeated when they meet the Nova Bantams at 9:50 this morning at the Halifax Forum.
