Santa Claus came to town last night.
He was there for the tree lighting at Yarmouth South Playground.
Lots of people came out, many with their children who sat on Santa’s lap.
Myrna Berry and volunteers from the community put on the event each year, decorating the tree, the park and providing cookies
and hot chocolate and prizes.
Yarmouth Recreation Director Frank Grant says it’s a community-driven event.
“It’s a very special event and it’s all run by the community. Mern and all her volunteers have done everything.”
