A four point weekend for the Yarmouth Junior A Mariners.
On Saturday night, after falling behind 3-1 to the Amherst Ramblers on the road, the Mariners came back to win in a shootout 4-3.
Ty Power tied it in the final minute, and Andrew Martell scored the shootout winner.
Jordan Messenger and Mike Snow also scored, and Leif Hertz made 41 saves for the win.
The win, combined with the 3-1 victory over the Pictou County Weeks Crushers Friday night at Mariners Centre gave Yarmouth a one point lead in the MHL standings.
That was until the Crushers 8-1 victory in Dieppe yesterday.
Yarmouth is off until Saturday when the Summerside Western Capitals come to town.
Defenseman Duncan McKie will miss the next two games due to suspension.
McKie received a game misconduct for kneeing on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Mariners received an honourable mention in the CJHL Top 20 rankings this week.
