Teachers will begin work-to-rule job action on Monday, meaning extracurricular activites like sports can no longer take place.
Grade 9 student Patten Bain was amazed at the support.
“I am supporting the teachers. I’m out here with all the students supporting them.”
Yarmouth MLA and Municipal Affairs Minister Zach Churchill walked to YCMHS with students from Maple Grove who visited his office earlier.
Churchill spoke to the students at Yarmouth High.
“Teachers need more supports in the classroom. I think the administrative and paperwork burden that has been downloaded on them has taken away from their ability to focus on what’s most important, and that’s you; teaching you, and giving you everything you need.
