The Joint Rescue Co-Ordination Centre in Halifax says a 13-metre fishing boat is taking on water off South Western Nova Scotia.
Navy Lt. Len Hickey says the vessel was 70 nautical miles south west of Yarmouth when they received the call.
A family member in communication with the captain says the ‘Tide N Knots’ is now about 11 nautical miles off Yarmouth and is expected to arrive in port around 1:30pm.
A Hercules aircraft and a Cormorant helicopter have been dispatched to the scene.
Pumps are being used aboard the boat.
