Joint Task Force Atlantic tweeted that a fishermen was hoisted from a vessel earlier today.
JTFA says a Cormorant helicopter was dispatched to the scene about 25 nautical miles south-east of Yarmouth.
It says the patient was transported to a nearby hospital then transferred to a LifeFlight helicopter.
No other details were released.
