The RCMP is reminding Christmas shoppers to be wary.
They say it’s that time of year when Grinches gear up to steal holiday presents.
Cpl. Dal Hutchinson says these are crimes of opportunity.
He says shopping malls and busy stores attract the thieves
“If you have to leave gifts in your vehicle, keep them out of plain view. Hide them or lock them in the trunk and park in well-lit areas at night.”
And at home try not to place gifts where they can be seen by someone peeking into a window and always keep doors and windows locked.
