A local author is on USA Today’s list of bestselling titles for the week.
Thea Atkinson from Yarmouth placed at number 33 with a fiction ebook box set co-authored by 24 writers.
The title of the collection, Wicked Legends, contains a mix of genres.
While the set is in ebook format, it sold in excess of 15,000 copies during its release week, putting Atkinson and its co-authors
in a spot much coveted by traditional paperback authors.

With titles that include Atkinson’s Theta Waves Book One, the box set is a blend of urban fantasy, post-apocalyptic, sci-fi, PNR, and dystopian novels.
“I made a best-seller list once before back in August with a different set of books. That set actually made the New York Times and USA Today lists,” the author says.
At last count, she has published over twenty full length titles and half a dozen novellas. As an independent author, she feels she can write what her readers ask for rather than what mainstream markets dictate.
